Scripture text: 1 Peter 1:22-25 Preacher: Rev. David Sutherland Date: 25 February 2018
Our ongoing study in 1 Peter has thus far shown Christians to be chosen people who are heirs to an imperishable inheritance kept safe in heaven, who remain joyful in the midst of suffering, who enjoy amazing God-given privileges, who seek to imitate God in loving reverence, and who are redeemed from their former futile ways by the precious blood of Christ.
Our study today focuses on Christians as people who have been born again by the work of the Holy Spirit. Given a new life and new nature, and marked by brotherly love, they are not perfect, but no longer the people they once were.
