Scripture text: Luke 22:54-71           Preacher: Rev. David Sutherland         Date: 1 November 2015

Delivered on the occasion of the Thanksgiving Service following the Congregation’s Autumn Communion, this sermon completes our study of Luke Chapter 22. Commenting on the lonely, loathsome and lawless features of Jesus’ trial before his own people, on God’s capacity to use the trial to accomplish his purpose, and on Christ’s willingness to suffer anything for the good of his church, the sermon concludes by urging us to bear a little more to advance God’s kingdom.
