Scripture Text: Acts 16:1-15                   Preacher: Rev. David Sutherland                          Date: 1 March 2015

The baptism of Lydia, recorded in Acts 16:14-15, serves to demonstrate how, in Christ, God’s Covenant of Grace is extended to all believers, for here a female Gentile in Europe is given the mark of that Covenant which was previously reserved exclusively for Jewish males. The sermon explores the grounds for the baptism of Lydia and her household, and concludes by urging listeners to reflect on their own baptism and on what has since followed.
