Scripture text: Romans 10:1-13 Preacher: Rev Vincent McDonnell Date: 17 August 2014
The Apostle Paul declared that his heart’s desire and prayer to God for his fellow Jews was for their salvation. Trusting in their ability to keep the Law unaided (sadly misplaced), they believed they had no need of the righteousness offered by God and set out instead to establish their own.
Many Christians today experience the same deep anguish that Paul described, when they consider their own family members and friends who have failed to put their faith in Christ. It is to those unbelieving loved ones that this sermon is primarily addressed.
